  5.           WELCOME TO THE TEXTURE MAPPING DEMO

  9. This demonstration displays terrain data (a surface)
  10. with a texture overlay. The texture used is a satellite
  11. photograph of the terrain.
  12.  
  13. You can rotate the surface by positioning the mouse
  14. in the draw widget, holding down the left mouse button,
  15. and dragging the mouse.

  17. MENU OPTIONS
  18. ------------

  20. File Menu:
  21.     Select "Quit" to exit the demonstration.
  22.  
  23. Options Menu:
  24.     Select "Surface only" to display only the terrain
  25.     data as a wire-frame surface.
  26.  
  27.     Select "Surface with texture" to display the image
  28.     data overlay on top of the terrain data.
  29.  
  30.     Select "Reset" to restore the surface to its initial
  31.     orientation.

  33. FEATURES OF THE TEXTURE MAPPING DEMO

  36.  <<ZOOM Slider>>
  37.     Adjust this slider to translate the surface towards
  38.     or away from you. The translation appears as if you
  39.     had "zoomed" in or out.
  40.  
  41.  <<HEIGHT Slider>>
  42.     Adjust this slider to change the height of the surface
  43.     in relation to its width. This allows you to exaggerate
  44.     the vertical dimension.
